We enjoyed being on the deck at Crow's Nest in Green Hills at our October Membership Meeting!

2021-10 Membership Meeting 4

For our August meeting we were back at Bavarian Bierhaus in Opry Mills. We enjoyed meeting our visitors and had more folks sign up for our trips. Our Beaver Creek trip is sold out but we have spots available on our other trips. Join us!

We had a terrific turnout for the 2022 Trip Presentations at our July meeting at Bavarian Bierhaus. It was so great to see folks excited about going skiing again! If you missed the trip presentation you can find it HERE. If you just want to see the presentation for a single trip, that's available on each of our individual trip pages. Note that our Spring Break/Families' trip is on hold for now.

We took the dinner cruise on the General Jackson on Saturday, June 26th.  We had a great dinner and lots of fun watching our club member, Bob, who's one of the band leaders aboard.

When did you first join the ski club?  2019, but my dad was a member back in the 80s and I used to go with him to some events like the Warren Miller Ski Film Festivals and gear swaps

Favorite ski resort?  Vail. Or maybe Park City. No wait, Grindelwald!

What’s the best trip (traveling wise) you ever had? When my daughter graduated from high school a few years ago, she and I spent a couple weeks in Iceland, Norway and Denmark. It was an amazing experience, and she loved it so much she's currently there doing a semester abroad in Copenhagen. Took a similar trip with my son when he graduated and we went to the 24 Hours of LeMans race in France and then to Germany where we rented a race car and drove laps around the Nurburgring track in Germany.

Do you have any pets? What are their names?  I have a dog named Pepper that we adopted from a Golden Retriever rescue.

How many countries have you visited outside the US? 20-ish I think

What is your favorite hobby? kayaking

What show did you binge watch embarrassingly fast?
Breaking Bad. I was late to the game on that one. I got pretty obsessed with Ozark too.

What is your favorite job you’ve ever had?
I worked the bar at the Bluebird Cafe one summer when I was in college. Met all kinds of singers and songwriters. I was the only person working there who wasn't trying to get into the music business.
