Our Jackson Hole trip is complete and have a look in our Photo Gallery to see how much fun our members had.  Jackson racked up over 90" of snow before we even arrived so conditions have been fantastic.  You can join us next year!

We started off the new year with a hike at Radnor Lake where we not only saw the lake but a couple of deer who were out for spot of breakfast.

We had a Thirsty Thursday gathering on December 19th, our final indoor social event of 2024!  Thanks to Mimi and the Socials committee for organizing so many events this year and filling up the first quarter of 2025 with lots of items for our calendars!

Thanks to those who came out to Ludlow & Prime in Berry Farms for our December membership meeting.  It was good to hear how folks spent Thanksgiving, their plans for Christmas and how excitement is building for our ski trips. Those going to Jackson Hole will miss our next meeting!

We enjoyed our final Weekend Starts on Wednesday of 2024 in November at Sam's Place in Belle Meade.  It was good to see so many folks before the holidays and learn about their plans not only for Thanksgiving but for our ski trips, which are in less than two months!

Our November membership meeting was at Jonathan's Grille in Murfreesboro.  It was good to try out somewhere new and see some folks who find that area more convenient.  Be sure to join us next month if you missed this meeting!

We kicked off November by hiking in our own backyard in Percy Warner Park.  It was a perfect day for it and it sure helped our ski legs get in better shape!

In mid-October we took the Franklin on Foot walking tour which included ghost stories about eerie goings-on in this Civil War town.  If you missed this event be sure to check the Upcoming Events page to see what else we have planned!

Barbara Gosler

Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky
When did you first join the ski club? I joined the NSC in 1994 to attend the Big Sky MT trip. I was nervous about signing up for a trip where you didn’t know a soul. I remember memorizing every name on the trip list and having a cocktail before attending the pre-trip party. After about five minutes, I knew I found a fun group to travel with.
Ski club offices held: I organized the Gastronomic Gallivants in the late 90s and was Trip Leader for Mammoth Mountain 1997 back when a full trip was $670 and 5 day lift ticket $185. WOW, I miss those days.  I was very active in the club until 1998 when I woke up in Michigan married, LOL. Now, Jim and I are the Northern Contingent of the NSC.
Favorite ski resort? This is hard because every mountain has a special vibe and memories. Winter Park is special because it was my first ski trip with Jim and it was his first ski trip out west. Telluride and Copper are special because we won skis.
