We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at our May Membership Meeting in Cool Springs.  We're gearing up for a lot of fun events in the spring and summer while looking ahead to our 2027 ski trips!

Be sure to join us on June 2nd for our next meeting.  It'll be our tune-up for the "big meeting" in July where we start accepting ski trip sign-ups!

On April 25th several of us did the Old Stone Fort hike in Murfreesboro. It was perfect weather for a hike and the scenery was gorgeous!

Our April meeting was at Crow's Nest in Green Hills where we held elections for our board members and officers. Congrats to those who were elected!

We're fortunate to have some very talented people in our club! Thanks to member Howard H. for shooting, editing and posting the videos below. They're from our Winter Park and Steamboat trips.

In late February we visited Telluride and were blessed with gorgeous sunshine almost every day.  Is it any wonder this is one of our club's favorite resorts?!

In early February we took a group to Steamboat and had an outstanding time. We had a great welcome party and a couple of other group dinners included.  Steamboat is a club favorite and if you missed this trip, you missed out!

With ice still lingering around much of the area, our Gastronomic Gallivant saw a smaller-than-usual group but these gals still had a great time and enjoyed some wonderful food.

At our February meeting we welcomed back the folks who went on our Winter Park and Keystone trips and loved catching up on all the inside scoop from those trips.  Some of our folks still had no power after the prior week's ice storm so they were glad to join us in the warmth.  Miss this meeting? Join us next month in Donelson!

Our second trip of the season was to Keystone, a place we hadn't visited in over 10 years!  While the weather started out very cold, by mid-week it was glorious.  Thanks to our "local" guide, Robert Johnson (in red), who gave us the inside scoop on the mountain.  We won't wait 10+ years to go back!

We kicked off our 2026 ski trips with a visit to Winter Park, Colorado on January 4-11.  Over 20 of us escaped the Nashville humidity for the clean mountain air.  While we were there we met up with members of some other Crescent Ski Council clubs which made for an even bigger party!  See the Photo Gallery tab for even more pictures!

Our January meeting was at Crow's Nest in Green Hills. We had a good turnout despite some of our folks already out on the slopes in Winter Park.  Our monthly meeting is a great time for members, their guests, and visitors alike to get acquainted with other folks in the club, so be sure to join us in February for the next meeting.

On January 2nd we braved the drizzle and took in the lights at the Cheekwood estate.  Thousands of lights both inside and outside decorated the mansion and grounds.  There are loads more photos in the Photo Gallery.

We kicked off the New Year with a Hangover Hike at Longhunter State Park.  While most of our hikes begin early in the morning, we made allowances for the previous night and eased into this one mid-morning.

We had over 30 club members attend the Crescent Ski Week at Steamboat in early December.  This camp is a great chance to start the season early.  The package price includes 5 full-day ski lessons, several lunches, a welcome reception, a dinner, and swag to bring home.  If you missed it this year, be ready to sign up in June for next year's trip!

Hometown: I grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia - the peninsula just north of Va Beach, Va.
When did you first join the ski club? 2025
Favorite ski resort? So far, Aspen Snowmass

What’s the best trip you ever had?
I drove to Alaska from Nashville when my son and his wife decided to move there.  We drove 2 vehicles out and it took us 8 days.  It was the most magical trip ever - even better than the over seas trips I’ve taken.   We saw so many new sights and experiences.  We saw the northern lights, sunsets that were as wide as the entire horizon, a wide variety of animals that we had never seen and every state and territory were all new and exciting.  It was truly amazing!

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
Northern Italy. I have visited there a few times to visit my childhood/High School best friend who moved there in 1982.  I love the language the food and the architecture!

What is your favorite dessert?
Tiramisu.  I actually have learned how to make it!

What is your favorite hobby?
Traveling with my boyfriend Dino (another NSC member).  We love to camp and travel anywhere we can.  We are going to Greece in April.

Do you have children or grandchildren?
I have 5 grown children and 6 grandkids and I love spending time and visiting them - from Alaska to North Carolina!

How was your first trip with the ski club?
I went on the Aspen Snowmass trip.  It was amazing and probably my favorite resort so far.  I’ve been skiing since I was a pre-teen.  I can’t wait to book next years trip with NSC!  I met some of the most awesome people and hope to ski with them again!
