About this event
The Legendary Honey Creek Loop: Are You Up for the Challenge?
Saturday, April 18 | 10:45 AM EASTERN (9:30 AM Central)
TIME ZONE WARNING: This hike meets in the Eastern Time Zone. If you're driving from Nashville, you'll "lose" an hour on the way—plan accordingly!
Get ready for what USA Today called one of America’s Top 20 day hikes. This isn't just a trail; it's a natural obstacle course. Join Kevin Ensrud and the NSC crew for a 6-mile immersion into the rugged beauty of the Big South Fork.
What to Expect:
The Terrain: This is a Moderate to HARD technical trek. Prepare for boulder scrambles, ladder climbs, creek crossings, and even a rope-assisted rock face descent.
The Reward: Breathtaking river overlooks, hidden "Garden of Eden" waterfalls, massive rock houses, and lush spring rhododendrons.
The Plan: Meet at the Honey Creek Overlook at 10:45 AM EASTERN. After the hike, we’ll head out for a much-deserved group dinner on the way home. Here's the starting point. You can see the hike on the All Trails site.
Location: Honey Creek Overlook, Allardt, TN (Find it on Waze!)

Note: Wear shoes with great grip and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy!
