This trip is a fabulous way to get your skills sharpened, no matter what your skiing ability. Over 100 skiers from all over the Southeastern US meet up each year for a week of lessons and/or race training. You'll sign up directly with SportsAmerica on their website. You can pay there with your credit card (3% surcharge) or simply register there and mail them a check.

New for 2024: Everyone who signs up before August 1, 2024 will be in the drawing to get the lesson & lunch component for free, a $580 value!

Mountain Stats:
Base: 6,900 ft, Summit: 10,568 ft, Vertical Drop: 3.668 ft
Skiable Terrain: 2,965 acres, 169 Total Trails — Longest Run 3+ miles
18 Total Lifts including a gondola, 1 high-speed 6-pack and 5 high-speed quads
Lift Capacity: over 41,000 skiers per hour
Lodging:
Trappeur's Crossing. Minutes from the base with an on-call shuttle system to take you to the slopes or into town. If you don't have a roommate one can be assigned to you.

Pricing:
Prices start at $1530 for condos or $1630 for the Steamboat Grand Hotel (plus air & ground transportation and lift tickets) for double-occupancy in Trappeur's Crossing.  6-day lift ticket available for $456 or you can buy an IKON Pass through SportsAmerica.  If you get the IKON Base Pass and want to ski 6 days you'll need to add a 1-day ticket for $76.  Sign up at the SportsAmerica website where you can also find details for airfare (into Denver or Hayden) and ground transportation.  Registration opens June 1st and closes October 1st.
