Join us for our August membership meeting at a great new location—The Pub Bar and Grill in Mt. Juliet!

Whether you are a long-time member, a guest, or a first-time visitor, everyone is welcome to attend.

With our 2027 trip sign-ups officially underway, this meeting is the perfect opportunity to finalize your winter plans. Our dedicated trip leaders will be on hand to answer all your questions about upcoming destinations and help you secure your spot. In addition to ski season logistics, we will be sharing details about the exciting lineup of social events we have planned through the fall.

Come early at 5:30 PM to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and meet fellow club members before the official meeting kicks off at 6:30 PM.

Registration: Admission is free and open to all, but we kindly ask that everyone (members, guests, and visitors) please register on the event page. This helps us provide an accurate headcount to the restaurant so they can prepare for our group.

Parking: Plenty of free parking in the restaurant's lot.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Saturday, August 8 - Pool Party - 2 PM

☀️ Sun’s Out, Fun’s Out: Nashville Ski Club Pool Bash!

Where: Tess’s House, Brentwood, TN
Registrants will receive an email with the exact address prior to the event.

The winter snow is long gone, so the ski club is trading the slopes for the slopes of the deep end! Join us for a classic backyard pool party and soak up some summer sun with great company.

The club will be firing up the grill and providing juicy brats with all the fixin’s.

🍉 What to Bring:
  • Your favorite poolside beverages.
  • A tasty side dish or appetizer to share with the group.
  • Your swimsuit, a towel, and plenty of sunscreen!
🚗 Parking Info:
Feel free to park right in the driveway or along the street. Because the house is on a corner, there is plenty of street parking available! Important: Please make sure we only park on one side of the street so Tess's neighbors can still easily come and go.

📝 RSVP Required:
This event is open to all Nashville Ski Club members and their guests. Please register/RSVP on the event page so we can get an accurate headcount and make sure we have enough brats on the grill for everyone!

Rainout date is the following Saturday, August 15.

For any questions, reach out to your host, Tess Harrison, at membership@nashvilleskiclub.org. We'll see you by the pool!

Sunday, August 9 - Social Committee Planning Session - 2-4 PM

Let's map out the fun for the rest of the year! We are gathering at Tess’s home in Brentwood to plan our official social calendar through the fall and into early winter.

Our main goal for this session is to review and update our master list of desired restaurants, sports venues, and unique Middle Tennessee event locations where the club has expressed interest. If you have ideas for upcoming outings, this is the perfect time to pitch them!

🥨 Refreshments & A Helping Hand:
Tess will kindly provide beverages and small snacks for the meeting. In return, we'll pitch in to help clean up a bit from the previous day's big pool party!

🚗 Parking Info:
Parking is available on the street right in front of the house. Important reminder: Please make sure we only park on one side of the street so Tess's neighbors can easily get by.

📝 Please RSVP:
Please RSVP on the event page to let us know if you plan to come. We need a solid headcount to ensure we have enough snacks, and to make sure everyone receives the exact house address prior to Sunday

Where: Brentwood, TN (Note: The exact home address will be provided to members who RSVP)

Thursday, August 13 - Sunset Kayak - meet at 5:45, launch at 6 PM sharp!

Grab your paddle and join your fellow ski club members for a magical evening on the water! We’re heading out for a scenic sunset cruise to Luau Island on beautiful Percy Priest Lake. Once we land, we’ll kick back, relax, and maybe even take a dip—all while watching the sky turn brilliant shades of pink and gold.

🎒 What to Bring:
  • Your Own Boat: This is a strict BYOK (Bring Your Own Kayak/Paddleboard) event.

  • Island Happy Hour: Pack your favorite drinks and snacks to enjoy on the island.

  • Safety Essential: A water-safe light or headlamp for your kayak.

Important Safety Note: Our return paddle will be by the light of the new moon. Because the sky will be extra dark, the stars will be our guide and a kayak light is absolutely required for the trip back to the marina!

📝 Please Register:

Please RSVP on the event page so we know to look out for you before we push off from the shore!

Where: Hamilton Creek Park (Meet next to the sailboat marina)

  • The Roasted Cauliflower Appetizer: Served with truffled pea & red bell purées, salted almonds, and feta crema—it’s an absolute must-share for the table!

Please note that Etch charges a standard $30 corkage fee per 750mL bottle brought into the restaurant.

Parking Information:
  • Convenient & Free: Parking at The Factory at Franklin is incredibly easy, with expansive, free surface parking lots surrounding the entire property.

  • Where to Park: The closest parking spaces to Etch are typically found in the lots facing Liberty Office Park / Franklin Road or near the main water tower entrance. Just look for the outdoor patio area!

Because our table size is firmly capped at 8, please RSVP on the event page as soon as possible to claim your spot at the table!

Attendance Deadline: If you register but your plans change, you must notify the event leader or update your registration by Monday, August 17th. This gives us enough time to contact the waitlist and make sure all 8 seats are filled!
