Saturday, April 12 – Nashville Outdoor Recreation Festival and Expo – 9 AM-3 PM

Every year our Ski Club participates in the annual Outdoor Recreation Festival and Expo alongside many other Nashville businesses and organizations. Joe will set up an outdoor tent, lawn chairs and table to display the Nashville Ski Club brochures, membership forms, and various giveaways. This event is a good opportunity to get the word out about our club and encourage people to join.

Volunteers Needed! You can share your experience and information about the club’s ski trips, social events, and other local activities.  Currently we have two volunteers from the Social Committee and we are looking for a few more club members to help with 1-2 hour shifts.  Please reach out to Joe Moreau via phone or email to volunteer.

LOCATION: Bells Bend Park, 4187 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville TN 37218

PARKING: Free parking is available at the park.

RSVP: Please RSVP on the event page to volunteer for this event. Let Joe know what times you expect to be present, we usually ask volunteers to attend for 1-2 hours.

Saturday, April 19th - Hike: Honey Creek Loop - 7:15 AM sharp

Come join your fellow Ski Club members on one of Tennessee’s most exciting and challenging hikes! This 6-mile loop may seem like an easy distance, but once you throw in a couple of rock scrambles, some ladders, and a stretch that is actually IN the creek, it’s a whole different thing!

We will meet at the Cracker Barrel in Mt Juliet just off I-40 exit 226A at 7:15 AM to leave at 7:30 SHARP! It will take about 2.5 hours to reach the trailhead. The hike should take approximately 5 hours with a lunch break, and we should be back to Mt Juliet by 5:30 PM.

Bring snacks, lunch, and plenty of water! A lot of this trail is exposed so you will get sun, and it will be hot! This hike also requires water shoes for the section that is in the creek.

And Joe will have a prize for whomever can spot the Energizer Bunny first. NO, it is NOT him (technically)!

RSVP is required for this hike, and if you have any questions, you can call Joe at 615.513.8121.  If you can hike Mossy Ridge, or both ridges at Radnor in about 2 hours, you should be able to complete this hike.

RSVPs will be strictly monitored. Group size is limited for safety. Please be kind and let the organizer know if you need to cancel.

This event is subject the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.
