Tuesday, January 20 - Gastronomic Gallivant at Lockeland Table - 6-8 PM


Join your fellow Ski Club members for our monthly culinary adventure! This month, we're experiencing the refined, community-focused cuisine of East Nashville's acclaimed Lockeland Table.

We'll gather in the beautifully rehabbed storefront that makes up this James Beard-nominated Community Kitchen and Bar. The atmosphere is warm, rustic, and inviting, centered around the roaring wood-fire pizza oven that infuses the entire space with delicious energy.


THE CUISINE

Lockeland Table's menu features Southern fare with international accents, praised by The Nashville Scene for its "consistently excellent meal" that balances the rustic and the refined.

Signature Dishes to look forward to include:

  • Appetizers: The mandatory Chicken Liver Pâté on Tuscan bread, or one of their famous wood-fired specialty pizzas, which are ideal for splitting (if you're willing to share!).

  • Mains: Expect refined Southern staples like the Dry-Aged NY Strip Steak or creative dishes such as the Rack of Lamb.

Thursday, January 22 - Zoolumination at Nashville Zoo - 6-8 PM

Step Into the Glow: The Country’s Largest Lantern Festival

Get ready to see the Nashville Zoo in a whole new light! Join the Nashville Ski Club on January 22nd as we wander through ZooLumination—a magical world of over 1,000 custom-made silk lanterns.

This isn't just a few lights in trees; it’s an immersive experience featuring life-sized (and larger-than-life!) scenes of wildlife, mythical beasts, and a massive 200-foot-long dragon. Spanning 60 acres, this year’s festival features brand-new designs and breathtaking displays that reach up to 50 feet high.

THE HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Lanterns: Over 1,000 hand-crafted silk masterpieces including a holiday-themed North Pole Village.

  • Live Entertainment: Catch nightly performances from world-class acrobats and entertainers at the Ajax Turner Amphitheater (shows at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 PM).

  • Smashville Ice Rink: Feel like practicing your edge-work? The Nashville Predators' outdoor ice rink is back for the season (additional $10–$12).

  • Warm Spirits: Sip on spiked hot cocoa, margaritas, or specialty cocktails as you walk the trails.

Beat the mid-winter blues and join your friends for the Nashville Ski Club's monthly Membership Meeting! It's the perfect chance to warm up with great company, excellent food, and hear about the club's upcoming ski trips and social events.

The Return of a Legend: Saffire at The Factory


Dust off your winter blues and join the Nashville Ski Club for our February Gastronomic Gallivant! We’re heading to the historic Factory at Franklin to visit a local legend: Saffire.

After a seven-year hiatus, Saffire returned in 2024 to reclaim its crown as Franklin’s premier "neighborhood upscale" destination. Known for its cozy, vibrant ambiance and the iconic 300-year-old wooden bar, Saffire offers the perfect backdrop for a mid-winter get-together with friends.

THE CUISINE

Saffire specializes in "Southern Meets Creative." Under the guidance of Tom Morales (the visionary behind Acme Feed & Seed and The Southern), the menu blends classic comfort with refined, globally-inspired twists.

Member Favorites & Standout Dishes:

  • To Start: The mandatory Saffire Steak Biscuits (Bleu cheese biscuits with tenderloin) or the Gumbo Ya Ya.

Tuesday, February 17 - PopStroke - 5:30-8:00 PM

Think you’ve seen mini-golf? Think again. Join the Nashville Ski Club on February 17th at the brand-new, world-record-setting PopStroke Nashville at Century Farms!

Designed in partnership with Tiger Woods and TaylorMade, PopStroke features championship-style synthetic turf, tricky bunkers, and unpredictable rough patches. This is the brand's first-ever "All Seasons" prototype, featuring two full 18-hole indoor courses and one outdoor course, so we’ll be putting in climate-controlled comfort regardless of the weather!

 

THE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Tech-Forward Fun: Use the PopStroke app to keep score on the jumbotrons and order drinks directly to your spot on the course via QR codes.

  • The "BarTenders" Restaurant: A scratch kitchen serving up elevated comfort food, from Ahi Tuna Nachos and Smashburgers to a 22-flavor Blue Bell ice cream parlor.

A Cozy Evening at the New House of Spirits
