Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille at McEwen Northside

Back by popular demand, join your fellow Ski Club members for a relaxed autumn happy hour in Franklin! We’ll be gathering inside Bar 79, Perry’s stunning island bar and lounge known for its vibrant ambiance, modern decor, and live music.

Whether you're stopping by to unwind or catching up on upcoming ski trips, it's a great evening to sample Perry's specially priced Social Hour 79 menu. Enjoy discounts on 15 handcrafted mixology cocktails, fine wines, and craft beers alongside a delicious lineup of bar bites and small plates—including their famous Perry’s Pork Chop Bites, Filet Mignon Lettuce Wraps, Steak & Tater Totter Bites, and Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms.

Friday, October 23 - Sunday, October 25 - Fall Weekend (or more!) in the Smokies

Head to Gatlinburg & the Great Smoky Mountains for some of the best fall foliage displays in Tennessee. Join us Friday - Sunday, October 23-25, 2026 for hiking, moonshine tasting, ski resort trade show with food, wine & beer, and a Halloween DJ costume dance party with dessert, beer and wine.

Deadline to sign up is Monday, September 7, 2026.

Wednesday, October 28 - Gastronomic Gallivant - 6 PM

Little Hats Italian Market - Handel's Ice Cream

Calling all foodies! Join us for an authentic Italian dinner followed by a extra-sweet bonus stop right next door for our October Gastronomic Gallivant.

We’ll start the evening at Little Hats Italian Market, famous for their gourmet Italian-style sandwiches, house-made pastas, fresh salads, and imported specialty items. Having supplied Nashville with fresh pasta for decades under Alfresco Pasta, they bring the finest cheeses, cured meats, and traditional Italian flavors straight to Franklin. Browse the market and enjoy a delicious meal with the club!

Bonus Dessert Stop: Right next door, we’ll head over to Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream—which happens to be owned by a fellow Nashville Ski Club member! Made fresh daily using original 1945 recipes and the best ingredients around, Handel’s was named the #1 ice cream on the planet by National Geographic. You definitely won't want to skip dessert!

Since both venues utilize outdoor seating and don't take reservations, we're opening up this Gallivant to members, their guests, and visitors alike!

Saturday, October 31 - Window Cliffs and Burgess Falls Hike - 7:30 AM sharp!

Join us for a trip to a truly unique geological landmark and one of the best waterfalls in Tennessee!

We’ll start with Window Cliffs, a 5.75-mile out-and-back moderate trek featuring multiple stream crossings and a dramatic finish right atop the "windows" cliff tops. Following a short break for lunch, we’ll take a quick 1.25-mile easy stroll along the Burgess Falls trail to view the top of the spectacular falls before heading home. Expect to return to Mt. Juliet around 2:30 PM.

Fitness Note: If you can hike Mossy Ridge or both ridges at Radnor Lake in under 2 hours, you'll do great on this trail.

Meeting Location and Time: Cracker Barrel – Mt. Juliet (I-40, Exit 226A) - meet at 7:15 AM for 7:30 sharp departure

What to Bring & Prepare:

Gear: Water shoes or shoes/sandals you can easily slip on for 2+ creek crossings (depending on recent rain).
Protection: Much of the trail is exposed to direct sun, so bring sun protection, plenty of water, snacks, and a sack lunch.

Tuesday, November 3 - Membership Meeting - begin gathering 5:30 PM, meeting at 6:30 PM

Join us for our November Membership Meeting as we check out a brand-new (to us) spot — Mill Creek Brewing Company in Nolensville!

Come out starting at 5:30 PM to grab a craft brew, order some food, and socialize before our brief meeting at 6:30 PM. Trip leaders will be on hand to answer questions and get you set up for our upcoming ski season trips. Since this is our first time meeting at Mill Creek, let’s bring out a great crowd and make a fantastic impression!

RSVP: Please RSVP on the event calendar so we can provide an accurate head count and ensure the brewery has enough space and dedicated servers ready for us. Please RSVP as soon as you know you can attend. It really helps us prepare the restaurant if we have a good head count more than 24 hours in advance!

Parking: Free parking is available in the lot surrounding the brewery.

Travel Tip: Evening traffic in and out of Nolensville can get busy around this time of day, so be sure to check your favorite route planner to map out the best path!

Saturday, November 7 - Fall Colors Hike: Great Stone Door to Greeter Falls - meet 7:45 AM, depart 8 AM sharp!

Come take in spectacular autumn views with your Ski Club friends on one of the most scenic trails in Middle Tennessee!

This 7-mile moderate point-to-point hike follows the rim above Big Creek Valley, offering sweeping overlook views of peak fall foliage alongside stunning waterfalls. Along the way, we’ll visit Great Stone Door, Laurel Falls, Laurel Gulf Overlook, and Broadtree Falls, wrapping up with a relaxing trail lunch at Greeter Falls.

Logistics & Timeline:

7:45 AM / 8:00 AM: Meet at the Murfreesboro Cracker Barrel; depart promptly at 8:00 AM.
9:15 AM: Arrive at Greeter Falls parking area to stage a shuttle vehicle, then drive 15 minutes to the Stone Door trailhead to begin the hike.
Return: Expect to be back at the Murfreesboro meeting spot around 2:30 PM.

Fitness & Preparation:

Fitness Benchmark: If you can hike Mossy Ridge or both ridges at Radnor Lake in under 2.5 hours, you'll do great on this trail.
What to Bring: Sturdy hiking boots, plenty of water, and a packed lunch to enjoy at the falls.

Sunday, November 8 - Social Committee Planning Meeting - 2-4 PM

Let's map out the fun for the next few months! We are gathering at Jenny's home in Nolensville to plan our official social calendar for the first quarter of next year.

Our main goal for this session is to review and update our master list of desired restaurants, sports venues, and unique Middle Tennessee event locations where the club has expressed interest. If you have ideas for upcoming outings, this is the perfect time to pitch them!

Jenny will kindly provide beverages and small snacks for the meeting.

Parking is available in the cul-de-sac or in Jenny's driveway.

Wednesday, November 18 - Happy Hour at Leipers Fork Distillery House of Spirits - 4:30 PM

Join your Ski Club friends as we head to beautiful downtown Franklin to visit one of our favorite spots to unwind!

We’ll start gathering at 4:30 PM — if you can arrive early, come on out to help save space for the group and get a head start on catching up! House of Spirits offers an incredible selection of custom handcrafted cocktails, along with a delicious lineup of appetizers, small plates, and a limited dinner menu.

Friday, November 20 - Live Bluegrass Night: Rebecca Frazier & Band at The Station Inn - Doors open 7 PM, Music begins 9 PM

Come support one of our very own! Join your Ski Club friends for a night of world-class bluegrass featuring flatpicking guitarist and singer-songwriter Rebecca Frazier—who happens to be a Nashville Ski Club member!

Located in the heart of The Gulch, The Station Inn is Nashville's iconic listening room for top-tier bluegrass, roots, and classic country music. It’s an intimate, relaxed venue with good food, great drinks, and real Music City history.

Tickets & Seating:

Tickets: $25 per person, available at the door on the night of the show.
Seating: Seating is strictly first-come, first-served. Doors open at 7:00 PM, so we recommend arriving early around 7:00 PM to grab drinks, claim seats together, and settle in before the music starts at 9:00 PM!

Parking: Parking in The Gulch can be tight on Friday nights. Ridesharing or carpooling is strongly encouraged. You can also check local Gulch garage/lot availability via The Gulch Parking Guide.
