Saturday, July 4 - Red, White and Boom! Summer Concert Series - 6-10 PM

Celebrate the 4th of July and America’s landmark 250th birthday with your ski club family! We are heading to Crockett Park for the annual Red, White, and Boom! spectacular. Thursday, July 23 - Thursday Night Out at Cheekwood - Gather at 5 PM, Music Begins 6 PM

Join your fellow club members for a relaxing summer evening of live music, beautiful scenery, and great company at Cheekwood's Thursday Night Out!

We’ll gather on the Arboretum Lawn starting at 5 PM and at 6 PM the music starts with a live performance by Big Shoes , a fantastic Nashville-based progressive blues/roots supergroup whose members have toured and recorded with legends like Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison, and Etta James. In addition to the music, you can explore the pristine botanical gardens and check out this summer's blockbuster train exhibition, America the Beautiful: National Parks & Landmarks by Rail.

Food & Drinks

A variety of local food trucks will be on-site, alongside tasty selections from Perenn at Cheekwood. Seasonal beers, specialty cocktails, and other drinks will also be available for purchase. Feel free to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to set up your spot on the grass!

Tickets & Registration (Action Required!)

Individuals are responsible for purchasing their own tickets directly through the Cheekwood website. Because these evening concerts are highly popular and require a timed-entry reservation, please buy your tickets early before they sell out!

  • Step 1: Purchase your timed-entry ticket directly on the Cheekwood Event Page

    • Pricing: Non-member adults are $21 for Gardens Only / $27 for Gardens + Mansion (plus a $2 service fee). Cheekwood Members receive discounted admission ($10).

  • Step 2: Once you have secured your ticket, please RSVP on the event page. This lets Joe know who is coming so we can coordinate a meeting spot on the lawn and keep an eye out for everyone!

Parking & Transportation

  • Driving: There is a $5 per order parking fee for non-members. Cheekwood can reach parking capacity during special events, so reserving your parking pass online in advance when you buy your ticket is the only way to guarantee a spot.

  • Rideshare Option: Consider carpooling or using a rideshare service (Uber/Lyft)! Cheekwood actively encourages ridesharing; if capacity is reached, walk-up entry is restricted to those arriving via rideshare. Plus, guests who show proof of a rideshare receipt at check-in receive an admission discount and a waived parking fee.

Let's map out the fun for the rest of the year! We are gathering at Tess’s home in Brentwood to plan our official social calendar through the fall and into early winter.

Our main goal for this session is to review and update our master list of desired restaurants, sports venues, and unique Middle Tennessee event locations where the club has expressed interest. If you have ideas for upcoming outings, this is the perfect time to pitch them!

Tess will kindly provide beverages and small snacks for the meeting. In return, we'll pitch in to help clean up a bit from the previous day's big pool party!
