Saturday, March 21 - Leiper's Fork Distillery Tour w/Tasting - 4-5 PM

A Taste of Tennessee History: Leiper’s Fork Distillery Tour

Looking for a premium way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Join the Nashville Ski Club on March 21 as we trade the slopes for the stills at Leiper’s Fork Distillery!

This isn't just a tasting; it’s a journey into the "lost art" of small-batch whiskey production. Nestled in the hills of Williamson County, Leiper’s Fork is a genuine small-batch distillery—producing only 25,000 gallons a year—where every single drop is mashed, fermented, distilled, and aged by hand.

The Details

When: Saturday, March 21 | Tour begins promptly at 4:00 pm (Please arrive by 3:50 pm).
Where: 3381 Southall Rd, Franklin, TN 37064
The Experience: A one-hour guided tour and tasting of superior whiskeys crafted with pure limestone-filtered water and local ingredients.
Parking: No stress here—there is plenty of parking available on-site.

Thursday, March 26 - Gastronomic Gallivant at Salento Italia - 6 PM

Classic Flavors. Modern Touch. The Best Lasagna in Town.

For our March Gastronomic Gallivant, we are heading to a Donelson favorite that consistently gets everything right: Salento Italia. Known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service, Salento is the perfect spot for the Nashville Ski Club to gather over some truly outstanding Italian cuisine.

The Menu Highlights

If you haven't been yet, you are in for a treat. We recommend starting with their tender, flavorful meatballs—a total flavor bomb that sets the stage for the rest of the meal.

From there, the pasta is the star of the show. Their Bolognese is hearty and comforting, but the Lasagna is the real talk of the town (some even say it’s the best in Nashville!). Looking for something simpler? The Margherita Pizza is bold, fresh, and pairs perfectly with a selection from their thoughtful wine list.

Prohibition Ends Here: Happy Hour at Amendment XVIII

Step back in time for a "renaissance of the cocktail."

On Tuesday, March 31, the Nashville Ski Club is going underground—literally. Join us at Amendment XVIII Cocktail Club in the heart of downtown Franklin for a happy hour inspired by the 1920s speakeasy culture.

While the 18th Amendment was intended to curb vice, it inadvertently created a golden age for mixology. Amendment XVIII honors that history with simple, well-balanced drinks and creatively inspired modern recipes. Whether you’re a whiskey connoisseur or looking for a curated wine or beer, their highly knowledgeable bartenders take the "pouring ritual" seriously.

The Secret Entrance

The Location: Tucked in the alley behind 317 Main Street.
The Reveal: Enter the alley behind Mellow Mushroom and look for the "Frankenstein switch." Flip it to turn on the green light and the door will open for you!

Saturday, April 4 - Lotz House Historical Tour - 10 AM

On the morning of November 30, 1864, the Lotz family sought refuge in their cellar as one of the bloodiest battles in human history raged literally at their doorstep. Today, the Lotz House stands as a "time capsule" of the Battle of Franklin—a stunning 1858 Greek Revival home that still bears the scars of war.

Join us for a guided journey through this historic landmark. From the intricate woodwork carved by Johann Lotz himself to the actual indentations left by falling cannonballs, this isn't just a tour; it’s an immersive look at the "terrible odds" faced by those who lived through the Civil War.

The Details:

The Experience: A professionally guided tour of the home and its history as a field hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers.

The After-Party: Weather permitting, we’ll stroll into charming downtown Franklin for a group lunch following the tour.

Parking: Ample parking is available at the house, on side streets, or across the way at the Carter House.

We need your voice! Join us on Tuesday, April 7th for one of our most important gatherings of the year: our Monthly Membership Meeting and Board Elections.

We’ll be gathering at Crow’s Nest in Green Hills, a local favorite known for its laid-back vibe and classic Southern comfort food. We’ve reserved the upstairs back porch, so you can enjoy the fresh spring air while we catch up and conduct club business.

Crow’s Nest is the perfect spot for a Tuesday night hangout. Whether you’re craving their famous "Tater Puppies," a hearty Meat & Three, or one of their legendary Nest Burgers, there is something for everyone. If you’re looking for something lighter, their Southwest Eggrolls and Cali Club are club-favorites for a reason. Pair your meal with a cold local craft beer or a signature cocktail from the bar while we talk skiing and the future of the club.

Why Your Presence Matters

This isn't just a regular meeting—we are electing the Officers and Board Members who will lead the Nashville Ski Club into the next season. Your vote is your voice in deciding the direction of our trips, social events, and club operations. We need a quorum to make these elections official, so please make every effort to attend!

Thursday, April 9 - Gastronomic Gallivant - 6 PM

Supper Club at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery

Please join us Thursday, April 9 at 6 PM for Supper Club, designed for sharing great food, inspired drinks featuring Nelson’s Green Brier spirits, and good company. Each week has a unique theme and features a robust four-course, family-style menu. The chefs and mixologists have curated a menu that will feature amazing pairings in the form of straight pours and cocktails featuring Nelson’s Green Brier’s well-crafted spirits.

The night kicks off with a welcome cocktail at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner service at 6:30. Menus change weekly. Menus for March can be viewed on their website under the Visit Us section, Restaurant & Bar, then clicking on the Supper Club icon. You can also visit their YouTube channel to see a video about the Supper Club!

Price: $75 per person (includes food and alcohol pairings)

RSVP: please register on the event page. We have an initial reservation for 8. If there is additional interest, we can increase the number to 16. If the event is full, please add your name to the wait list.

Nelson Greenbrier Distillery is located at 1414 Clinton Street, Nashville, TN 37203.

Please note: should you need to cancel your reservation – 24 hours’ notice is required, or you will be responsible for the cost of the meal ($75).

Join us for a weekend in the sun in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mix and mingle with members of our own club as well as clubs from all over the Southeastern US. Included in your package are receptions, Beach Olympics and a DJ Dance.
