Double the Views!

Dust off your hiking boots and join your Nashville Ski Club friends for a morning exploring two of Middle Tennessee’s most unique "hidden gems" along the Harpeth River. We’re tackling two scenic spots in one morning—come for one or stay for both!

Part I: Hidden Lake Ridge Loop
We’ll start at the Hidden Lake Trailhead for a 2.4-mile loop. This easy-rated trail offers a modest 200ft elevation gain, rewarding us with beautiful overlooks of the secluded lake and the winding Harpeth River.

  • When: Meet at 8:00 AM; Leaving at 8:15 AM SHARP!

Part II: The Narrows of the Harpeth
After Hidden Lake, we’ll take a quick 15-minute drive to the Narrows. We’ll trek to the waterfall at the historic Montgomery Bell Tunnel (one of the oldest man-made tunnels in the country!) before heading up the Bluff View Trail. You'll see exactly how the "Narrows" got its name with a panoramic view of the river's horseshoe bend.
  • Stats: Roughly 1 mile total / Easy rating.

  • Where: 1300 Narrows of the Harpeth Rd, Kingston Springs

  • When: Approximately 10:00 AM (post-Hidden Lake)
Gear Tip: Wear comfortable shoes with good traction and bring plenty of water. Let's enjoy the spring breeze before the summer heat arrives!
