Join us as we travel to Breckenridge, Colorado for the first time in over a decade.  Our lodging will be at the ski-in/ski-out Beaver Run resort.   Beaver Run has one of the best locations in Breckenridge, located between the mountain and Main Street.  This is a resort property with independently owned unit and hotel-style amenities and services.  We will be in two bedroom suites.  The master will have one queen bed and the second bedroom will have two queen beds, there is also a sleeper sofa.  The units have full kitchens, dining room and living room areas, plus wood burning fireplaces.  The resort has 9 hot tubs, 2 pools, an arcade, spa and several restaurants on site.   For non-skiing days you can arrange dog sledding, snowmobile tours, sleigh rides,  and ice skating, just to name a few activities.

Breckenridge Trip Report

Thirty people enjoyed a wonderful week of skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado.  We arrived in Denver early on Sat Feb 24 and took a charter bus to our home for the week, Beaver Run Condominiums.  This was a large complex right next to Beaver Run Superchair and had several hot tubs, a heated pool, restaurants on site, a deli and a large arcade which I don't think any of us had a chance to try. We had a wine and cheese welcome party, but our resort rep forgot to show up!

We had absolutely perfect weather for every day but one.  On that day, we received almost a foot of snow!   The slopes were in good shape, most of them recently groomed, and the snow was good. Everyone enjoyed full days of skiing with high temps in the 30s and sunshine.  After a day of skiing, many of us met in the hot tubs before enjoying a few dinners in adjacent downtown Breckenridge.

We enjoyed two group dinners, one at Mi Casa Mexican restaurant, and the second was a buffet dinner at Beaver Run.  On our final night, we had a pizza/leftover party in the leader's condo and sat before a roaring fire and discussed events of the week and life in general.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, so on Saturday we boarded the bus for the short drive back to the Denver airport, right before another storm system moved in.  It was a great week when everyone returns home with smiles!
