Steamboat 2026, Sunshine days and spring like skiing!

What a season it has been, definitely an oddly warm one for the mountains of Colorado but wow, thanks to the hard work of the mountain staff, we were still able to ski most of the mountain even with the lack of snow for the season.  The group arrived in time for Steamboat's annual winter carnival which had some great cowboy fun happening right on the main street, Lincoln Avenue.  Much to our delight, we had 7 new members on the trip that were first timers skiing with the club, welcome newbies, they were great additions to our trip and we would love to have them back next year!  As per usual, somebody did some snow dances and we were graced with over a foot of fresh snow at the summit later in the week which was not only needed but greatly appreciated.  Thanks to the staff at Trappeur's Crossing, they were wonderful to our group!

With the terrific help of Jeff Hall, we had some great meals as well as a trip to the ever popular Strawberry Park Hot Springs, here are the details:
The Superbowl Kickoff: It wasn't our first night in town but what a kickoff right at the trip leaders' condo, we had great food from the Drunken Onion including mac 'n cheese, lasagna, roasted chicken and pulled pork sliders.  Special shout out to Bob Beranek for the massive amount of home made guac.

How You Doin?: We dug into some tasty pies from How Ya Doin Pizza on Tuesday.

A Steamy Night: The group was treated to the hot springs at Strawberry Park Wednesday night with some great star gazing before the clouds rolled in, it's always a treat to visit.

The Meal Of The Week: For our last dinner together, everyone headed to the oldest restaurant in town called the Ore House and it did not disappoint.  There were many compliments made about the delectable cuisine that we feasted on from the teriyaki filet steak tip, baked brie and shrimp appetizers to the prime cut steaks and salmon that had some even saying it was the best meal they ever had on a ski trip and we are not talking about any of our newcomers.

The Consensus?  Another great and memorable trip run by the Nashville Ski Club, new friendships formed and more memories to be shared as we day dream about the next trip to be had.

Be sure to check out the Photo Gallery to see how much fun we had and thanks to Howard H. for making this cool video!
