2020-2021 Crescent Ski Council Trips

In addition to our club trips the Crescent Ski Council (we're one of 20 member clubs) is running three long distance trips and our members are eligible to attend these trips too. You'll sign up directly with the tour operator. Trip sign-ups begin on June 15, 2020 and may provide a discount for signing up early. Click on each trip for more info:

Steamboat, Colorado
December 5-12, 2020

CANCELLED:  Due to current COVID regulations in Colorado, only members of the same household may be in the same condo so the trip is cancelled this year. But it will be back next season at the same time!

Telluride, Colorado
January 16-23, 2021

Weekend Trips

The Crescent Ski Council offers a number of different weekend trips to resorts in North Carolina & West Virginia. While the primary focus of these weekends is racing, you can still buy your lift ticket through Crescent to take advantage of their group pricing.  If you’re interested in racing, check out the Crescent Racing page and talk to our racing director to learn how qualifying & racing works.  It’s a lot of fun and you’ll compete against a small group of people who ski like you do so don’t think you have no chance of winning just because you’re not a speed demon!  Racing will improve your skiing simply because you must turn at each gate, forcing you to control your speed and keep your head up.  But even if you don't race, the weekend trips are a good way to warm up for a week-long trip elsewhere.  The 2020-2021 trip dates have not been announced yet but here are our typical destinations:

  • Mid-December  — Appalachian, NC
  • Early January — Sugar Mtn, NC
  • Late January  — Appalachian, NC
  • Early February — Beech Mtn, NC
  • Late February — Sugar Mtn, NC
  • Early March — Snowshoe, WV

More information (including race results) is available on the Crescent Racing web page.
