Our 2027 ski trips are now on sale!  To learn more about our trips, click on the TRIPS link in the menu above. You must be a member to sign up for our trips and you may click on the JOIN option in the menu to get that process started.  Our destinations for 2027 (and availability as of 7/26) are:

 Beaver Creek, CO - January 9-16, 2027 - room for single supplement or 2 who'll share a bed

 Mammoth, CA - January 23-30, 2027 - room for a single female

 Vail, CO - February 6-13, 2027 - room for a single male

 Palisades Tahoe, CA - February 21-28, 2027 - room for a single female and one condo (K, T/T)

 Hakuba Valley, Japan - March 7-17, 2027 - room for one single female and one single male

All our trips are now waitlisted. They may have available space but are waitlisted due to bedding configurations. *Please* join the waitlist if you're interested as we may be able to expand some trips.  Joining the waitlist means no downpayment and you're not obligated to take the space should one open up.

Missed the July meeting?  Join us at The Pub in Mt. Juliet on August 4th.  We'll begin socializing around 5:30 PM and the meeting will begin at 6:30 PM.  We'll cover upcoming events and trip leaders will be on hand to answer your questions.  Guests and Visitors are always welcome!  Help us out and please register for the event if you plan to come.


If you're not a member but would like twice-monthly updates on our social events, join our email list by clicking on the Add Me To Your Mailing List link at the very top of this page.  If you'd like to receive our annual trip mailer in late June/early July, please include your postal address too.  Members of our club receive a more detailed email each week with members-only discounts and events.  Once you join the club you'll automatically be switched to the members email list.

On July 28th we had our annual happy hour at Blue Moon Waterfront Grille at Rock Harbor Marina.  It's always a great time and we couldn't resist the colorful drinks!

On July 23rd we were at Cheekwood Gallery & Gardens for their Thursday Night Out series.  We enjoyed music from Big Shoes as well as the massive model train set they had winding throughout the gardens.

Our July Gastronomic Gallivant was at Butcher & Bee in Historic Edgefield.  Our reservation filled up quickly and a wonderful (and delicious!) time was had by all.  These Gallivants typically fill up quickly so make sure to sign up for the next one if you're interested.

On July 18th we took our kayaks to the base of Burgess Falls, one of the truly unique waterfalls in the area.  It was a great way to beat the summer heat!

On June 27th we were back at Crockett Park, this time enjoying the dueling pianos of Cruzin' Keys and the goofy fun of Rubik's Groove.  If you don't have plans for the 4th, join us at Crockett Park for the season finale!

On June 24th we escaped the heat by heading to Tee Line Curling. We started off with a happy hour and then got down to the business of sliding and sweeping!

On June 14th some of us enjoyed the Eaglemaniacs show at Crockett Park. It was a great evening of music by Eagles and Don Henley. If you didn't get to join us then there are two more concerts remaining so mark your calendars now!

On June 6th three of our intrepid members headed over to East TN to tackle the challenging Honey Creek Loop hike. Kevin, George, and Steve conquered the loop and are ready for the next adventure!

On June 2nd we were at The Food Company in Green Hills for our monthly meeting. We enjoyed perfect weather and it was a great build up for our meeting next month where we'll start accepting signups for our ski trips!

On May 31st we met up for the first of the Brentwood Summer Concert Series at Crockett Park.  The Wanna Beatles performed the best of the Fab 4 and we had a great time hanging out and listening.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at our May Membership Meeting in Cool Springs.  We're gearing up for a lot of fun events in the spring and summer while looking ahead to our 2027 ski trips!

Be sure to join us on June 2nd for our next meeting.  It'll be our tune-up for the "big meeting" in July where we start accepting ski trip sign-ups!

On April 25th several of us did the Old Stone Fort hike in Murfreesboro. It was perfect weather for a hike and the scenery was gorgeous!

Our April meeting was at Crow's Nest in Green Hills where we held elections for our board members and officers. Congrats to those who were elected!

We're fortunate to have some very talented people in our club! Thanks to member Howard H. for shooting, editing and posting the videos below. They're from our Winter Park and Steamboat trips.

On March 21st we visited Leiper's Fork Distillery, learned how their products are made and indulged in some samples!  More pictures are in the Photo Gallery.

Our final trip of the 2025-26 ski season was to Snowmass where we enjoyed beautiful bluebird skies and the gorgeous scenery including the Maroon Bells.

Our March meeting was at McNamara's in Donelson where our members shared all the fun things that happened on the Steamboat and Telluride trips.  As a bonus we got to listen to some live Irish music!

When did you first join the ski club? 2025
Favorite ski resort? Hard to say.  Best snow, Snowbird.  Overall, probably Big Sky.  I've skied over 20 resorts.

What’s the best trip (traveling wise) you ever had?
Any traveling with my wife and children.  Probably when  we went to Italy, Dec. 2009

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
Rome

Are you a member of any other clubs or organizations?
Yes, Lincoln Park Ski Club

What’s your favorite seat on an airplane?
Aisle

How many countries have you visited outside the US?
About 15

What is your favorite candy or treat?
Dark chocolate

What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
Cow tongue and sweetbreads

What is your favorite dessert?
Anything Chocolate

What is your favorite hobby?
Flying, Skiing, Traveling

What was your favorite concert you attended?
Saw Johny Cash at Cleveland Auditorium when I was in grade school.  Was able to get up front by the stage and shake his hand.

What are your other favorite sports to participate in?
Biking, Hiking

Do you have any hidden talents? What can you do?
I'm a numbers guy.

Where and when would you time-travel, if it were possible?
Probably back to World War II.  Both Europe and Pacific theaters.  My father was in WWII.

What movie can you rewatch over and over again?
Godfather I & II

What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving

What is your favorite job you’ve ever had?
The job from  which i retired, fixed income sales.

Who is your favorite cartoon character and why?
Any of the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes.  We watched them on Saturday mornings when I was a kid.  I actually met Mel Blanc the voice of the characters.  Wonderful man.

During the pandemic did you learn a new skill or improve an old one?
None.  I went to the office every day
