Ski Passes

One of the benefits of being a Nashville Ski Club member is that we can pass along discounts we receive from our tour operators on ski passes.  For the 2024-2025 ski season all the resorts we'll be visiting use the IKON Pass.  We can offer special pricing on some types of IKON and Epic Passes.  Most of these passes have a version for Adults, Teens/Young Adults, and Children.  See the pass details for specific age ranges.

Note: our recommendations are assuming you plan to ski at least 5 days at each resort you visit.  If that is not the case, compare the pass price to the ticket packages available from the tour operator to see what offers the best value.

IKON Pass Pricing

  • IKON Pass - Unlimited skiing at seventeen (17) IKON resorts including Copper Mountain. An additional 7  days at each of forty affiliated resorts including Jackson Hole, Big Sky and five resorts in the Chamonix area.  No blackout dates
  • IKON Base Plus Pass - Unlimited skiing at eight (8) IKON resorts with no blackout dates including Copper Mountain. Unlimited skiing with blackout dates (Dec 26-31, MLK weekend, Presidents' weekend) at an additional six resorts.   Five days (some with blackout dates) at an additional 43 resorts including Jackson Hole, Big Sky and Chamonix.
  • IKON Base Pass - Unlimited skiing at eight (8) IKON resorts with no blackout dates including Copper Mountain. Unlimited skiing with blackout dates (Dec 26-31, MLK weekend, Presidents' weekend) at an additional six resorts.   Five days (some with blackout dates) at an additional 36 resorts including Big Sky and Chamonix.
  • IKON Session Pass - These are 2-4-day passes that are good at select destinations including Big Sky and Copper Mountain but not at Jackson Hole or Chamonix.  These are not available through SportsAmerica, only through the IKON site.
NOTE: The first ski day of the Big Sky trip, Sunday, January 19, is a blackout day for all but the full IKON Pass.  You may purchase a one-day ticket at a group rate through SportsAmerica though if you are already planning to buy the IKON Base Plus pass it will likely be cheaper just to upgrade to the full IKON Pass.  More details below.

Pass prices change as ski season approaches so please click the link at the bottom of the next section for current pricing.  IKON Passes are typically on sale through early December.  After that point you'll need to purchase your tickets from the tour operator.

We do not have discounts on the passes that are available for those in the Military, Registered Nurses or College Students so if you qualify for that then check the IKON Pass site for details on that.  Likewise, those renewing their passes may find a better rate on the IKON site.

▶️In addition, if you buy your pass through our link below you'll receive a $50 lodging discount on one trip run by the Nashville Ski Club or Crescent Ski Council if you buy the full IKON Pass.  If you purchase the IKON Base Pass you'll get a $30 lodging discount.   No lodging discount is available if only the Session Passes are purchased.

What pass should I choose?

You can always buy the full IKON Pass and have unlimited days with no blackout dates.  But that might not be the most economical choice.  Here are our recommendations.

If you're only going on one trip:
Buy the group pass through the tour operator

If you're going on the Jackson Hole trip and another trip:
You will need to buy the IKON Base Plus pass as the other passes do not work at Jackson Hole.

If you're going on more than one NSC trip but none are to Jackson Hole:
You can buy the IKON Base pass.

*NOTE: January 18-19, the first two days  of the Big Sky trip, are blackout dates for all passes except the full IKON Pass.  Since most people will arrive on Saturday the 18th, only Sunday the 19th is likely to be an impact.

  • If you plan to buy the IKON Base Pass, you will have the option to buy a single-day group ticket for Sunday for $185/adult, $153/seniors.  That is cheaper than the difference in the full IKON Pass and the IKON Base Pass.
  • If you plan to buy the IKON Base Plus Pass it will be cheaper to upgrade to the full IKON Pass than to buy an additional day pass.
  • You may also buy a half-day ticket at the box office.

Where should I buy my pass?

If you are in the Military whether Active, Retired or a Military Dependent, you'll get better pricing buying directly from the IKON Pass website. Note that to receive the military discount for IKON Passes you must sign up on-base.

If you had an IKON Pass for the 2023-24 ski season compare your renewal deal on the IKON Pass website to the price on the SportsAmerica site below.
