We will be doing the 8 AM Shuttle for the Bell Witch Float Red River Canoe Co, 8002 Hwy 41 N, Adams, TN 37010 - Members and guests register on the ski club website. - 8:00 AM Bell Witch Float (7.8m, 4-6 hr float) - Kayak rental $50; Canoe rental starts at $60; Portage for your own, $25, payable upon arrival to Red River Canoe Rental - Will pick meeting spot and drive up together

Bar Louie in Bellevue Come out and connect with your Ski Club friends for a mid-week happy hour at Bar Louie. Bar Louie is known for their chef-inspired food, craft cocktails and martinis. Happy Hour is from 4-7 pm and includes domestic pints, local craft beers, wines, select premium liquor, small bites, and flatbreads. Look for us to the left of the bar area. Members & Guests are welcome. Please RSVP on the club website on the event calendar (log in for fastest results). LOCATION: Bar Louie, One Bellevue Place, Nashville TN 37221 DIRECTIONS:  Take I-40 West from Nashville and exit 196 at Highway 70S. Turn left onto 70S, then turn left onto One Bellevue Center (shopping area near the Panera Bread). Continue straight on One Bellevue Center and Bar Louie is on the left just before you get to the AMC cinemas. PARKING: Plenty of parking is available around the back of the restaurant. Please join us for a hike to Charit Creek Lodge, a short one-mile but moderately strenuous trek in the heart of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, located three hours east of Nashville. From there, one can leave their belongings and explore the area or enjoy the serenity. The lodge offers the perfect place to relax and reconnect. Play games in the dining room by the wood-burning stove or toss horseshoes on the lawn. Hike to the Twin Arches or Slave Falls. Splash in Station Camp creek or just sit on the porch and enjoy a cold beverage and a book.

NSC will have its own cabin for our rustic yet charming accommodations. Handcrafted meals that are thoughtfully prepared with fresh and nourishing ingredients are provided. Guests will be treated to dinner and breakfast as part of their overnight stay. Wine is offered for sale or BYOB.

Carpools will be arranged or come on your own. Possible Saturday morning horseback riding through forests of eastern evergreens and giant rhododendron might be an option if there is interest; let the event leader know if you‘re interested.

Dinner is at 6 PM ET and Breakfast is at 8 AM ET
There are hot showers and flush toilets

Join your Ski Club friends as we start the hiking season with the easy/moderate Volunteer Trail. Meet at the trail head to start hike at 7 AM sharp! The loop is just under 4 miles and should take about two hours. RSVP required on Nashville Ski Club website Use your favorite GPS to reach the trail head at 1594 Bakers Grove Rd, Hermitage TN 37076

Come on out to the east side of Nashville for our October meeting at CP Between The Lakes in Mt. Juliet. It’s a casual place with great sandwiches, salads and a full bar. We will be set up in our own separate room to the far left as you enter the restaurant. Trip leaders will be on hand to answer your questions about our ski trips.

Directions: CP Between The Lakes is on the north side of Mt Juliet one block south of Lebanon road in front of the Kroger on Mt Juliet road. From I-40, take the Mt Juliet Rd exit north for 4 miles and it will be on the left hand side. If you are coming from the north, from Lebanon Rd, turn south on to Mt Juliet Rd and it will be on the right in one block. Or as most of us do, use your favorite GPS!

Join the Nashville Ski Club for a fun picnic outing – bring family and guests to experience why they are known as “Nashville’s Wine Country”. Bring your own non-alcoholic drinks and bring some food to share with others, such as appetizers, desserts, and finger food. Coolers are allowed but can be searched by security, so make sure to not bring any outside alcoholic beverages. Bottles of AV wine, crackers, cheese, cured meats, and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased in the Arrington Vineyards gift shop. Mimi will bring paper plates, plastic wine glasses, and napkins and will arrive early and encourage a few others to arrive early so we can reserve enough picnic tables to accommodate our group. Please RSVP on the club website on the event calendar (log in for fastest results) so we have a good idea of how many picnic tables to grab. Members & Guests are welcome. Come join your fellow Ski Club members as we continue to get into ski shape at one of the most scenic hikes in the state, right here in our back yard! We’ll meet at the Radnor Visitor‘s Center off Granny White Pike at 6:45 AM to beat the crowds and also have a better chance to see the local wildlife. We’ll start up the Spillway trail behind the visitor center then take the Lake Trail to the Ganier Ridge Trail. We’ll continue up the east side Access Trail to the East Parking area. After a short break if needed, we will continue on Otter Road to the South Cove Trail. At the end of that you can head back to the parking lot. The full trip will take just under 3 hours. RSVP on the event page is required for this hike, and if you have any questions you can call Joe at 615-513-8121. RSVPs will be strictly monitored. Group size is limited for safety. Join us for the haunted history tour in Franklin for a hair raising experience. The tour explores the ghosts that linger on the brick-lined streets and historic buildings in charming downtown Franklin. Departed socialites, civil war spies, failed businessmen, confederate soldiers, and at least one dog roam downtown each night. Spend 90 minutes with us walking around downtown for a length of about 6 blocks. The tour costs $25 per person and you can purchase your ticket at FranklinOnFoot.com. We are planning to take the 7:00 PM tour on October 16. Also make sure to register for this event here on the event page so that we know who is planning to attend.

Come our for Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 23 at Mere Bulles, which is located in a beautiful historic manor located in the heart of Maryland Way in Brentwood. The house was built in 1942 and served as a former estate home and farmhouse. Their Happy hour includes a selection of cocktails, wine, beer, and small bites and lasts until 6:00 PM. Look for us to gather in the lounge area. Please RSVP on the event page so we can reserve the right amount of seats.

Come join your fellow Ski Club members as we get into fall with a hike that was voted “Best Urban Hike in America” a few years ago. We will meet at the base of the steps off the Belle Meade Boulevard entrance at 6:45 AM for a 7 AM departure. The hike from the steps is 7.5 miles and should be just under 4 hours. RSVP on the event page is required for this hike, and if you have any questions you can call Joe at 615-513-8121. RSVPs will be strictly monitored. Group size is limited for safety. Please be kind and let the organizer know if you need to cancel.

Our November meeting is at a familiar place in a different location. Head down south from Nashville all the way to Murfreesboro to Jonathan’s. Our meeting area should be to the left as you
enter the restaurant in the back left corner. Trip leaders will be on hand to answer your questions about our ski trips.

Directions: I-24 East to Exit 76. This is the first Murfreesboro exit. Keep in left lanes on the exit ramp to turn left onto Medical Center Pkwy. Go about 0.6 miles and be sure get into the rightmost lane to turn right into the parking lot. Tire Discounters and a Thornton‘s gas station will be on the opposite side of the street. Or use your favorite GPS!
